This next election in Taiwan may just hand the island to China without a fight. Even if the VMW deal were to miraculously get approved by the Chinese government next week, then AVGO semiconductor competitors would lobby the Biden administration to investigate the terms and conditions of the deal's approval.
It's a no-win situation for Tan and Dell. They're now under the U.S. regulatory microscope.
