Thread regarding WL Gore & Associates layoffs

Core Tech division closing

Science leaders have been pushing garbage for years because it was a nice sounding lie that got them promoted. Was all a lie though, so never went anywhere to generate money. Now the entire division is closing since no results. Hundreds will lose jobs.

For those of you who doubted the "middle-management" comment earlier, who do you see in CT that have landed new roles that will keep them safe while R&D teams are being cut, and not just in CT? Admins are out, housekeeping is being cut, but the good ol' boy network is alive and well.

don't think it was the science leaders pushing garbage, i think it was too many people in "middle-management" type roles causing overhead to be way too high. I think they should have just thinned them out and left CT as it was instead of splitting it moving parts into different divisions. still feels like they are setting things up to sell off parts of the company
