Between people outside VMware yelling at VMware employees for being lazy (we’re not in general) and other junk we have to sift through, I have one question: where is the leadership? I have seen the CIO’s office emptied out, and have heard many are on leave. I did not know leadership means hiding away at the most important times? I am quite disappointed by the leadership by the last month and a bit.

Singapore is awesome! Malaysia can be very nice as well. Person below is either rude, ignorant, probably both. Raise your game folks. Think before your post
Executives have premium coverage. It may well be that Betsy is being fitted with a heart, Kit is being fitted with some ba--s, and Magoo with courage. Any others I may have missed?
Some even expect reports on analysis. “Take care of yourselves” but “where’s the reports” ? Management doesn’t exist and Hock Tan has destroyed this company. I do not believe for a second the merger happens. It would have already. Families and relationships obliterated and the ship is rudderless. I wish the 70-year-old emperor would go back to Malaysia & we could rebuild VMWare to the glory before all this nonsense started.
Legally, I can’t do my job either.
They are doing precisely what I would do:
Keeping quiet, laying low, and doing what precious little they can to ensure their massive payday happens.
Mega hyper cloud FTW!
That’s what leadership has to say behind closed doors.
Most likely leadership has been over-ruled by legal. IF there is any possibility that the deal is likely to go south then there can be absolutely no suggestion that anything came from the leadership team that contributed to that otherwise the lawyers would have a field day. Hence the heads down, arses up current stance.
If the deal fails, would their positions be tenable afterwards to lead the company? That’s a different question!
What leadership?
I've been quite disappointed by our leadership for the last several years
