Betsy has worked HR at VMware since forever almost… I would think VMware would at least want a CEO that understands the technical concepts behind its products

Sure, if you remove Pat's damage, and foreign government approval, and Dell looking to make a cash cow of us. If you remove all the actual reasons for the situation, you may be left with Betsy.
Hock Tan will be President of vmware. The GM's of each business unit will hold SVP or VP titles. There will only be four vmware business units reporting to Hock. CA and Symantec will fall under vmware brand and comprise other business units to complete the vmware software portfolio.
