Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

A show of hands…

How many of you are just plain burnt out? You don’t need to say anything else just a number.

I just want to see something that’s all.

If this is the most burnt out you’ve been in awhile maybe even years pick a letter.

If you are though, sending love <3

Check out the TWOU stock once the media finds out Chip (Chipwich) Paucek is out. Maybe he will get on his boat from Annapolis home and go fishing. He can write a newer version of The Old CEO and the Sea!

OP here…

To the two posters who made many assumptions. I have never had the benefit of UPTO, trips, etc as mentioned.

Also assuming that we are not mustering up the last of our energy to actually do our jobs while also picking up the slack from those who get away with not doing theirs makes your comment irrelevant to be honest. Stop talking K@K here.

I suggest instead of fighting for a company that IS NOT EVEN YOURS, use that energy to actually open yours eyes. Or perhaps it is that free booger sugar as mentioned?

Any way… this post was not even for you kool-aid MFs. People are struggling and while we KNOW leadership is watching this forum as if it’s their side bi--h, maybe just maybe they will see what they are doing to us (doubtful).

Many of us have been here for many many years so this is not just coming from the lack of benefits as you all keep hinting at BUT I CANNOT wait for the “I told you so”

Again sending love, even to you troll bi--hes, clearly it’s needed <3

I hated those company meetings! I was also told they were mandatory. It was so much sensory overload and so many culturally (to me) irrelevant people I had no interest in engaging with in any form or fashion (concerts, etc.). Also, I hated sharing rooms with colleagues. Awkward. Once, I got food poisoning or something and no one would belive me - accused me of trying to get out of the events when I literally lying on the bathroom floor. I didn't even care if I got paid to paid to tap out. I'd have rather been at work. lol.

Post ID: @hhp+1pClmipA - if you want the truth, there are those who Did have issues with so many things that man child Chip insisted on:

  1. UPTO - those who started with the company way back when were assigned only 2 weeks at the start of employment and allotted additional days every couple of years, as your tenure grew. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the notion that someone hired 10 years ago was ofthe same allowance as somebody hired one day ago. It wasn't fair, and the notion always seemed like a free for all.

2u being, in its truest nature, loves to live in chaos, and really leaned into the chaos this ridiculous UPTO policy has created.
To reiterate - we addressed this, but it fell on deaf ears.

  1. Those bogus company meetings... many tried to get out going. We were told they were mandatory and we had no choice!

Many asked if, instead of attending, we could have the cash value paid as a COA. We were told, no...Mandatory! Once again, deaf ears.

Your ( and the likes of you) obtuse posturing is getting nauseating at this point. Sit down!

Ay yi yi. Maybe if we felt like leadership had the company on a solid path we’d be less distracted. Chip is allowed to spend time on a side gig so don’t give us sh-t for trying to find some camaraderie in these shaky (and growing ever shakier) times.

+1 on the post below.

People had no problems with UPTO, half day Fridays, remote work, the trips to Vegas, New Orleans, and Miami. You weren’t saying stop doing that stuff were you? That’s all fun and awesome.

You had a problem when you got a sniff of adversity. It’s easy to be happy when things are good, when things are tough that’s when the truth comes out. If you don’t like it here, try your luck elsewhere. Nobody is forcing you to stay here. The media tells you every day how great the job market and economy is, go try it out. It’s on you to be the change you want to see in your life, not 2U.

How many of you that are spending your time posting on here are actually employed by 2U and supposed to be working??

I just want to see something that’s all. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If this is the most burnt out (and by burnt out I mean barely doing what you are supposed to and instead feeding into this bullsh-t which is only hurting and pi----g off your colleagues that ARE working) you’ve been in awhile maybe even years pick a letter.

I can pick them for you if you’d prefer. They are sandwiched between E and G, and T and V.

Honestly the job itself is not what's causing my burnout. It's the runaround and the uncertainty, and the waiting for the next round of layoffs that's exhausting.

I don’t know about everyone else but I survived a pandemic that ki-led over a million people and left something like 17 million people unemployed. I’ve been more burned out before.
