Harbinger of the official deal collapse is nov 16th. If the NYSE reports show bc/vmware as pending/tba, it is possible to close nov 26th
There is a 10 day notice period which is required for any publicly listed company on the NYSE.
No update by cob Friday, means no deal on 26th.

Not sure if attending this dinner means anything. I read there's going to be hundreds of attendants including farmers from Iowa, who are Xi Jinping's old friends from the 80s when he came as a provincial communist official of a small town in China to learn advanced agricultural techniques.
Point is, this dinner is not as exclusive as some think, especially if it's something any businessman can sit in by paying as little as $2,000. Now I am sure Hock Tan paid $40,000 to sit at Xi's table since that kind of money is chump change for corporations, but I have a feeling he will be outshadowed by the A-list celebrities of the businessworld such as Tim Cook, Elon Musk, and Jamie Dimon
