If corporate doesnt have to work on Thanksgiving, there is no reason for the stores to be open.

I’d like to think they want to give the store staff members a day off to be with their families but I really think it’s a way to avoid giving them holiday pay…

is this a PTO? Will people get paid for the holiday day off?

Well I would rather have the day off. Seems to be a huge complaint from stores that they have to work so I’d take this as a step in the right direction. I feel sorry for the 24 hour store personnel and call center staff that still get screwed and have to work.

Yeah for team members! The company could only pay out 25 % of store bonus. No corporate bonus but you can afford to lose millions of dollars in sales and profit. Great decision for the company.
