Sounds like one person posts and replies to himself. Cox is full of weirdos.

In ANY job, ALWAYS have your resume up to date and ready to roll.

This is the normal for the past 20 years or so, at least. Keep that resume shiny.

It's the same everywhere bro. Unless you are a top performer according to executives gameplan, You're subject to layoffs anywhere. That's why you have your resume up to date always, and don't be afraid to just apply and interview for jobs every year just to keep up with what's going on. You guys are so toxic and so wound up with losing a job. It's not that hard to find a job if you actually have skills...

Yes, the yearly holiday re-org and layoffs are coming. Buckle up. When working for Cox, always always always have a strong back up plan. They'll blind side you when you least expect it. Even if you are a top performer youre not safe. They care more about you keeping your mouth shut, and pretending to be woke than they do performing well. The culture at Cox is absolutely toxic. It was a great place to be before 2016-2017, now it's just a joke, and unless you know someone important, just be ready for the massive axe when it inevitably starts swinging again. If something feels "not right", thats the first indicator that you need to get ready, because it's indeed , not right.

No matter your dedication, loyalty, contributions, expertise and commitment there is no reason to ever feel safe. You are a number. That is all. Realize it and prepare accordingly. Sad, but true.
