Last minute cancellation. Hmmm.

The Dobbs message is on Slack on the student-engagement-team channel
Totally agree re: Brad explaining what he can. If anyone higher up is truly honest and open it’s Brad. He always has answers or tries to get them. Wish he was running the company.
Was it an email or slack? Trying to figure out if that info is going to hit my department.
So, layoffs tomorrow I guess
From Dobbs: pay careful attention to “there will be more communication coming tomorrow morning from executive team” I am so anxious I am eating all the left over Halloween candy!
“I've had a few people reach out directly to ask about the Tour de Brad and wanted to share context: It is going to take place on Monday at 11 am ET. We originally made the decision to move it so that it would be more productive knowing that there will be more comms coming tomorrow morning from the executive team. Then the mtg was accidentally scheduled for today again totally by accident”
Aaaand now it's been moved to Monday.
Back on the calendar for 11 am EST
Perhaps he is aware of more formal communication (that it’s not his role to communicate) coming out in the next couple days and reasonably wants to wait until that happens before opening the floor to questions he can’t/shouldn’t answer bc people even higher in the org are the ones driving comms/actions right now. Perhaps there are answers HE still doesn’t have. I have no direct knowledge of additional comms being in the works, but none of us knows what’s happening during this silence from Chip. Assuming Brad taking a meeting off the books is “sus” assumes some ill intent. It seems like a lot of folks assume that there is a lot more power at various levels in times like this. Just like whether upto continues to be a thing or not despite needing some strategy to manage it while it exists or whether there is a push to rto. Chip makes a lot of decisions and the rest of the org has to figure out how to manage through that. For the time being at least, everyone at 2u ultimately works for him.
Classic
Big suss. Brad is always great at explaining what he can
