CVS pushed out the CIO today (11-15-2023). Layoff coming as they outsource to Accenture. 402 people laid off from one division alone. HR made a mistake when they sent out a message to all being laid off with a CC and not a BCC.

The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. It's a problem of motivation, all right? Now if I work my a-s off and CVS fills a few more scripts, I don't see another dime; so where's the motivation? And here's something else, Bob: I have eight different bosses right now. They are bringing in the Bob's consultants will cost more money than save
CVS IT is a joke and Roshan’s org has been nothing but a bloated mess. Whatever is all I say to this news…
Outsourcing. Using outsource that were already doing one thing and having them take more of other peoples jobs. Anything to save a buck.
Looks like a bunch of new jobs in digital and IT have posted. If they were outsourcing they would not be hiring all these jobs. Looks like just cutting dead weight and I hear there is a ton of that there.
Think he landed a big new job which is why he left. They do work with infosys, cognizant, accenture and others already this sounds like people just lost their jobs, happening everywhere. CVS had already announced this was going on months ago.
Looks like he landed a high-level Executive position with AIG, but he still is a buzzword, flavor of the month IT hack. His push to the cloud was a joke and the execution was pathetic.
Pushing a person out looks like a lot of things and often there are culture hints that lead to a job search. Betting on this person wanting to make a positive difference and not given the resources. CVS loss for sure.
They never phrase it that way. But they decimated his group.
