The problem with bootcamps

Yes management mostly su-ks. Yes advisors are not properly trained. In my eyes, the largest problem with bootcamps is that the product is an absolute joke - honestly a borderline scam. Anyone can Google to find reviews of our bootcamps and see that they are terrible and won’t give a student the outcome they want. Enrollment will continue to drop as word spreads in the field that these bootcamps are hot garbage. I also want to stress that this isn’t the fault of instructors/SSA/curriculum designers, no one gets the proper support/resources from higher up. I am the author of a post that got some traction a couple months back on r/codingbootcamps. Leaving was the best thing I’ve ever done, but I’m also very privileged to have found another job. Genuinely hope current advisors reading this are able to get off of the sinking ship

Boot camp managers are trash. I was told to tell prospects not to finish their UG degree and To pursue bootcamp. The amount of fake a-s manipulative coaching is toxic. Bootcamp managers from trilogy do not know how to people manage. Jealous of colleagues with degree managers who help them succeed

This is the reason I had to leave. I enrolled over 200 students in bootcamps, but only 2 students ever got hired after completing the bootcamp. Made me feel like I helped scam these people out of $10,000-$13,000.

I mean its not the company's fault. The schools are the one who slap thier sticker on the product. It's like thinking you buying a coke and it's just repackaged Rc cola

Frame it any way you like, advertising these bootcamps as offerings from reputable universities when they have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with said universities, is predatory and misleading. The entire bootcamp business model is just totally screwed up and wrong.

yup. let’s also not act like bootcamps hasn’t completely rebranded twice in an attempt to shed the awful reputation without actually making the product quality in any way. might as well still be trilogy bootcamps
