Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

A poem about late-stage capitalism - the writing is on the tower walls

In corridors of steel and glass, a titan stands,
Its name a beacon in the sprawling lands.
Yet behind the facade of gleaming pride,
Lies a story of loss where dreams collide.

Once, within its walls, ambition soared,
American dreams in abundance stored.
But late-stage whispers of profit's call,
Echoed through its halls, demanding all.

Outsourcing beckoned, the siren's song,
To distant lands where labor thronged.
American talent deemed excess weight,
Sent beyond borders, sealing fate.

The heartland felt the tremors quake,
As jobs departed, futures at stake.
Families fractured, hopes now frayed,
By decisions made, profits swayed.

The soulless giant, iconic yet cold,
Chose balance sheets over stories told.
The bottom line, its guiding light,
Regardless of the human plight.

In Mexico's embrace, the factory hums,
Where once it thrived beneath American suns.
But in the wake of this corporate dance,
Lies an economic hardship, a grievous chance.

Communities falter, scars run deep,
As a company's profits soar, hearts weep.
The legacy of a soulless decree,
Leaves wounds that time may never free.

Yet amid the struggle, a spirit prevails,
Resilience borne from hardship's trails.
For souls are not confined by walls of steel,
Hope reignites, refusing to kneel.

In the shadows of outsourced towers tall,
Stories of survival begin to sprawl.
For within each laid-off hand and heart,
Resides a resilience, a brand-new start.

Though a company may forsake its own,
The human spirit will find seeds sown.
From the ashes of economic strife,
Arises strength to craft a new life.
