How silly, that tons of our systems would be down, including customer facing sites? Get real. We don't have redundancy?
The real reason the sites are "down" is because China approved the deal and they are cutting over the sites to the Broadcom side.

My caps lock is stuck, can someone fix it for me please?
I have a secret for the reporters
Tanzu su-ks
What a scoop!
Any reporter who would take anonymous uncredentialed internet posts as a source would probably just as easily make stuff up
So glad that stupid people are so willing share internal information on public forums (in the most cowardly way possible). Hey I have an idea, let’s air our dirty laundry somewhere sh-t reporters with zero context lurk and take these id--tic posts as gospel.
I didn't notice that anything was down because I don't have to work since all of my customers have gone missing.
I'm an attorney building your case
"Re the Vmware Cloud Services outage. Does this impact customer production environments?"
youve posted this on five threads-----looks like you're a reporter? let me guess, for business insider???
“cutting over the sites to the Broadcom side”
Yet you wonder why you didn't get an offer letter lmfaooo
This outage is starting to smell really bad, or is that just me. Can we be done with this deal please ?!?!
Re the Vmware Cloud Services outage. Does this impact customer production environments?
Boy we sure have had a lot of outages with isilon storage; one more thing to thank MD for
Silly OP. Any resourceful, educated employee at VMW would know that there is an internal tool to look at IT issues and the causes are clearly documented in the incident updates. Might want to look into that before making assumptions.
It is discouraging to see the long RTO, but the root cause for this situation will take some time with the third party vendor, and no, it is not Broadcom unless they're looking at FibreChannel switches.
We are still outage. Many apps inexcusable. When time be done?
All systems will be back up SOON!
The licensing expired on the broadcom switches.
The new quote was around $1.5 billion. strange times.
“Very unfortunate coincidence“
Have you even seen the outage list of affected systems?
Don’t sh-t all over the staff that keep this operation running
“cutting over the sites to the Broadcom side”
LOLOL
What dude? Do you even work in tech
11/15 14:30EST and still down. Customers can’t access the support portals etc. any insights into what’s up? Hopefully not a pi---d engineer getting revenge?
My money is on a failed network config change or someone intentionally clearing router config. DR plans should be in place for the services that are down and the amount of time they've been down means that a site failover can't restore services.
Perhaps the result of telling IT for 18 months that they are 'redundant' and then screwing with everyone for the last 15 days???
I have had 6 work emails in the last 7 days. As good as dead.
I thought email was impacted until I realized I have zero emails in my inbox today since receiving maybe 3 emails all day yesterday. This place, with few exceptions, is at a complete stand still
Switching global DNS pointers?
Focus on the main thang
Could be real issue as well or it could be some Cricket lover IT engineer wanting some downtime to watch cricket WorldCup :P
Doesn't matter...TLO still works
Very unfortunate coincidence there’s an issue……but don’t let the truth get in the way of a good conspiracy! :)

Joke, I'm assuming.
Taking down vmware.com doesn't seem like a good way to announce the deal; then again, considering how many other fu-kups there have been in this process, maybe..?
It's not confirmed!
What an absurdly stupid interpretation of events.
Is it confirmed news or just some hunch?
