Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Profits over people

This organization continues to disappoint with how out of touch leadership is with reality. Today they must have spent a nice portion of salaries saved from the 267 people laid off last week on an unnecessary vendor summit with awards. The information shared could have been presented to vendors through a zoom meeting if they felt it was necessary to communicate . Even an email laying out next steps and expectations from our great leader of the day could have been sent instead. How can anyone get through to leadership that they are way off! Employees are customers as well as brand ambassadors. How about starting at the roots and actually take care of your greatest asset??? Wake up, wake up, wake up!!!

Actually this company has been more than shady for years, and don't forget all the lawsuits they continue to pay. They have no shame, say it the way it is.

Operating statements suddenly not available for stores to look at after being in there yesterday. Looking a little shady Walgreens two months in a row.

It is already very evident at store level these clowns are pressuring the RVPs to deliver and put more pressure on the stores already and frankly the only people left now are the ones who will do nothing but micromanage everything and start disciplining if you are not getting your metrics in line. Already forgotten are the people that called out these past few weeks because of being overworked all of that is in the past now. Frankly they are not worried about anything than figuring out how to squeeze every little drop of money out of the stores to prop up the stock dividends. Some very shady things are happening with the P&L statements for the stores still looked at mine today they totally eliminated Septembers statements and combined the two months together. Lots of money added to the bottom line for these two months why is that? No CFO right now so seems like some shady things are happening. Will be interesting to see what happens when the first quarter earnings call happens will it be that the company has suddenly made a miracle turnaround to attract some merger/ acquisition attention? We will see

And Walgreens leadership will continue to disappoint in how out of touch and tone deaf they are. On a related note, it takes money to take care this company's "greatest asset". The more bodies we can get rid of and the more productivity we can squeeze out of those that remain means more money for our shareholders. In my view, Walgreens couldn't care less about the welfare of its "team members". We're just another expense.

It was a complete dumpster fire. Gotta love Tracy showing up wearing a $750 Hermes belt. The first break was supposed to be 20 minutes but turned into well past 35 min. Can’t even stay on track with time. Lost count of how many times every single person who spoke said “double down”. Equally as concerning was Mr. Wentworth almost bragging that there were no merit increase to bonuses given. Everything is going back to the stores - how they think the stores will deliver faster and better. The stores are enraged at how they have been treated and you really think for a second that they are going to continue to be used and abused and play along with your games? The ruse is over - people aren’t stupid.
