Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

So long, Crown

Leaving this post for ideas on how to move forward in cities where Crown is eliminating jobs.

  1. Reach out to your jurisdiction leaders and let them know that Crown is limiting jobs in our area where they are hoping to get work.
  2. Pay attention to your local zoning information, and if you find that Crown is seeking a contract in your jurisdiction, go fight.
  3. If you find Crown is going to bid in any of your areas for any type of work, fight.

The mean, you’re going to have some sorry-a-s severance that will buy you time to do these things while you are looking for a job.

Another. And this is a BIG one. If you have met your deductible for the year, book every type of visit you can before end of year.

  1. it won’t cost you
  2. crown is self-insured, meaning they will pay every penny of that charge, and
  3. they can’t stop you from going out on short term disability while you recoup…

Need that hip or knee replacement? Those routine appointments and vaccinations? Glasses? Dental work?

If you need it done, get it done now. Let them pay for it.

Another one -
Google any lawsuits affecting the company. If you have true information about unethical behavior in the company, call the attorneys and inform them. I did.

@uhr+1p9PIxUm Actually, I have turned down 2 job offers so far at competing companies because the compensation wasn't as good. Bi--h all you want about Crown, but they pay better than most companies.

Whatever you do, don’t have a massive bonfire of crown gear. I was thinking of taking up a collection of them all to donate to homeless shelters in Houston. It would warm the EVPs hearts to see their donation to the poor….
