Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Another WFR is on the way

there will be another WFR after this year ends, I am only aware of the sales side of things, but I am sure they will continue to downsize all over the company. It is a great time to clean up your resume, start having conversations with outside contacts about opportunities in Jan/Feb timeframe. The WFR's would have happened a few years ago but COVID delayed the process. Any new hire will come from the internal college programs, Dell isn't hiring people from the outside anymore...they will try to leverage channel partners for Comm/low end Enterprise biz, don't be fooled by AI - they will use that tech to replace sellers. Of course, Dell products sell themselves.

Why layoff if a company has always boasted making record-breaking quarterly earnings?

One more this year and in Feb (beginning of FY25) already has been written here. Feb will be big.
