Anyone applying for a job at VMW EUC is taking a huge risk. Private Equity firms will often cut the new hires first, that's exactly what happened when they took control of Citrix.

That's not true. Managers have had to move start dates to avoid the freeze.

I don't work for VMware but signed up for the "VMware Talent Network" back in the day. Today I received the following email:

"As you may be aware, VMware is currently in the process of being acquired by Broadcom and this transition has necessitated some changes in our operations.

As of October 1st, 2023, we implemented a pause on all recruiting activities and have entered a hiring freeze until the transaction closes on or around October 30th. This pause is being put in place to ensure a smooth transition during the pending acquisition and to align our hiring strategies with the broader organizational changes that may arise."

I'm not sure why they waited until October 17 to send the email, but better late than never I guess,

hiring freeze company wide. I had a former colleague reach out to me recently about a job posting. He didn't know about the impending Broadcom acquisition. Needless to say, the advice I provided was to not waste his time applying to the req.
