Heard it’s getting sold to Google
Yep, EUC is just the kind of opportunity that a firm like Thoma Bravo would acquire and squeeze.
Due to the market dynamics of the legacy UEM and VDI markets, EUC is a candidate for Private Equity firms that can dramatically cut costs and extract cash from this obsolete product portfolio.
The outcome at Citrix is a model for what comes next for VMW EUC. Wait and see.
I always thought it was a little sketchy that Tom Krause bailed to head up Citrix / CSG when he did. I wouldn't doubt if the incestuous tendencies somehow will play out in the EUC market down the road.
There will be a rather large restructuring of the BUs. EUC is mentioned separately, I assume as a preparatory measure for further measures.
Some strategical Broadcom document circulate internaly.
All we know is that EUC will no longer be a part of VMware nor BGS.
It was confirmed on multiple Town Hall that EUC is not in phasis with the multicolour strategy.
Even our VP / Country manager shared with us the same feeling.
From my point of view, EUC will become "Airwatch" again with an extended portfolio (Horizon / WS1) just under Broadcom.
Given the incestuous relationship with Dell, Hock, and SilverLake, I’m sure there is plenty of behind the scene horse trading going between them and the PE community. Making mega deals is what brings these guys to örgasm now that they can’t get it up anymore. What a shít country this has become.
We will buy a Citrix next. Why do you think Tom became their CEO?
Maybe it's headed over to "Cloud Software Group" with Citrix and Tom Krause.
