Sounds a lot like our store too. 75% of communication is e-mail or text, no cutbacks in that regard, very little participation from managers on sales floor. Falling behind? Roll up your sleeves and step in, don't simply say I sent an e-mail with directions.

Agreed, the Leads in our store do all the work.
The offices at HQ who slash the monthly payroll, are the same folks who continue to pile on the daily tasks thru e-mails, directives, and other seasonal projects. Which in turn negatively affects customer service availability, the real people who pay our salaries. In our store the GSMs and top brass meet in the offices all day where they compile strategies only to push everything out to others, just so the box can be checked. They never work the front lines. Get ready team leads, it's all coming down on you to get everything done, and on time.
assortments are shrinking. removing gondolas. spreading it out to 'look' full.
even took out 2 cash registers to open up more space for the t-shirts.
i am looking to make a move. they will be cutting us more and more.
