HR doesn’t do anything for their own employees with abusive supervisors. You think they are going to help other departments?

IMO, do not take abuse from anyone - be it your manager or your team members. Your personal health, both physical and mental will get impacted if you are being consistently abused. Physically, stress will lead to everything from heart problems to auto-immune diseases. Mentally stress will impact not only you, but your near and dear ones. Even if you are on H1B, remember that the worst that can happen is that you can go back and start anew and have a better family support.

Complaints hotline is a legal requirement. NOBODY cares about the complaints made on them.

Even if the complaint was noted, status collectors won't rock the boat. They didn't do anything when ppl were moonlighting as RE agents and property managers. They are NOT going to do anything now

HR does NOTHING for the victims of the abusive bosses. Been there and they did song and dance to try to show they were taking action but they did NOTHING to help me.

Just leave to go to a different company. Let the lifers rot at Q and make it's already toxic culture even worse.

The one thing that the company does not want is a lawsuit. It's not about protecting the manager or employee. It is about who creates most liability. If you sense something wrong, speak up. Chances are the toxic person already has damaging info in their HR file from past behaviors.

HR is there to protect the company. Not the individual.

How will they track down if they can not even track down the sc-m within? Do not scare people from reporting.

💯. Do not badmouth company in the interviews but you should report anonymously. You can not live life in fear. If you ever bump again in future, the person will continue opression and wrong behavior. Your life will be depressive. Need to report immoral acts and unethical behaviors or any oppression. That will energize your life and save another employee from suffering or support their report.

HR does nothing in most cases. They are cognizant of toxic managers and will take steps necessary to hide the compliants and it will blow up in the whistle blowers face.

Do not air your grievances. It will come back to bite you.
Even if you feel like being laid off while others remained was completely unfair, just move on. Don’t bad mouth QC in interviews, it will make you look bad.
Follow your path, stay true to yourself.

Do not report anything anonymously or not. Why? They will track you down digitally and know exactly which computer and who sent the complaint. Just do your work to the best of your ability and mind your own business. Never state your personal opinion about anything not related to work. Don't talk about your personal life at work. If you don't like your manager or co-worker, move to another group or company. If you plan on leaving, leave on a friendly term. You never know when you will bump into someone in the near future. Remember, HR only cares about the company and what's best for the company business. HR do not work for you or what is in the best interest for you (the employee).
