They want to lay me off? Fine. I'm done worrying about it 24/7. They want us to stress and stress in hopes that many of us will decide to quit. If we do, they don't have to pay us severance. I'm not going to quit but I'm also not going to care if I'm laid off. At least I'll know I didn't do them any favors by walking away for free.

@bla+1p7TGTKQ, I know that sour pit all too well and I reassure you that it fades once you get cut/leave. I, too, worked late and on weekends while my boss/team were somehow always OOO. The minimal times I took PTO, I’d worry and pack my laptop because I just knew there’d be that dreaded fire drill, and I was right. That sour pit turned into diagnosed anxiety and depression. Now I really needed the health insurance. I worked even harder. And then I got cut. The day I thought my life would fall apart, was the day it started again.
The grass is healthier on the other side.
I am praying a few on my team quit! They are the laziest bunch around! Zero competency and collecting a paycheck while they are at the hair salon…..
Severance isn’t guaranteed. They are moving people around to different positions without a choice in hopes that they will just quit.
Don't quit, make them pay your unemployment. And trust me they don't want to pay it, you will have to fight for it.
This is how little this company cares about your bottom line and how you support yourself and family. They don't care about anything but profit and their own paychecks.
Hang in there, and just do the bare minimum.
Other companies are hiring ALOT of them.
Why would you stay?
I care. We all NEED the job, some of us need the insurance, and some of us need to run the clock out while staying employed. It will crush me and my family if I am cut. I worry every day, but I go to work early, give my all and stay late or on weekends if needed. It is the sour pit in my stomach I don't care for.
Totally agree. I am not going to quit. I am going to stay to give them troubles and do as little as possible. If they don't care then why should I care.
