Even when people are completing their "elite" certificates and degrees, is this creating another layer of the educated underclass and burying them in debt?

It's a double edged sword but now of days it's really on the idnvisuals to access the risk they take, especially with all the information out there now.
People are fooled into burying themselves in debt in an effort to "make it." Some do make it but I suspect many more are either a little better off or the same as before they took on this debt & now they owe thousands. There is also the time & effort they put into these classes.
I'm not slamming anyone who has gone this route. Wanting to better yourself, access education or a more interesting job, shows ambition. There are just so many unethical if not illegal practices to avoid.
A rhetorical question for which you know the answer. An online Harvard MBA is not a Harvard MBA. Nobody cares about educational quality at any level but that is a different discussion than that here. Elite degrees lead to making elite connections or cementing those you have. Online can never replicate that important piece.
