Q will go on, even if individuals don’t make it. Q cash reserves are enormous and have plenty of runway to make mistakes and move forward. People will be let go in the processes and new people will be added and happy to work at Qualcomm. Remember you were happy when you got hired and someone else was let go. It’s just your time… su-k it up and move on to better things. The quicker you move the better off you will be! Q does not care about you and you shouldn’t let a set back ruin your life

OP is correct though. Loyalty only works in one direction. Employee to company.
Does it work vice versa ? Absolutely NOT !
Companies would always do what’s good for them and not necessarily in favor of the employee. When an employee gets hired it’s best if they keep hammering this fact in their heads since when layoffs happen it won’t hurt as much.
We’re all human but organizations only work for their shareholders and not in employees favor. We know all this yet think the company looks after us etc. They only give RSUs to retain us for projects. When they no longer need us they’ll remove us.
We should be of the same mindset too. If something better comes along, GTFO ! Do
What’s best for YOU. Not necessarily what’s best for the company: they really don’t care about you.
I am based in SD in WT. let’s see how things shape up here.
Yes, Q is great for management beyond VPs.
