USPS has begun culling its IT/Applications contractor force starting the week of October 9, 2023. I'm aware of a number of Peraton contractors now on the East Coast. I haven't heard of what the hostile USPS upper management is planning for us direct Postal employees yet.

Which applications are being targeted? There are some very old applications that have limited maintenance contractor crew with not frequent release - should we all be scared? How big is this layoff?!?
Cutting IT contractors is not a bad thing. Upper management realized the financial drain coming from the vendors and had enough.
