Boeing expands inspections for 737 Max defects

Hampered by Airbus taking both customers and market share along with US Government regulations the current MAX was a hail mary by Boeing to update it's product line without the investment in a new design. Boeing initially refused to bring a new airplane to market out of greed, but now they lack funds and engineering.

Too Little, Too Late!!!

Nothing like calling the fire department, after the house has burnt to the ground.
It’s call “Intellectually Disabled” and is the foundation of Boeing Mismanagement.

777X will never get certified and enter operations. Just another BS project to buy time for executives to drain the last dollars out of this failed company that they can.

Our company got the FAA to accept the 777x as a derivative of the 777, via an amended Type Cert, which is again ridiculous as nothing much was carried over from the original 777.
The engine, wing etc are all new. The avionics are mod from 787 (not 777).
I think the Amended TC is only good for 10 year so that could expire soon if the 777x is delayed further.
But I sure we will grease the skids at the FAA to extend that process, otherwise it will cost even more to do a Full Type Cert
Again all of this is to cut cost as the Amended TC required less certification activities, even though 777x is a completely new AP
Rinse, repeat....

Is the 777x a derivative of the 777? If so, could it have the same problems as the 737 MAX?

Boeing no longer the premier airplane design/manufacturer it once was. The last great AP was the 777 which was done on time and met the targeted spec
All follow-ons are way over budget, took 2x as long with design flaws up to wazoo
And the Max is a twice bandaid on the classic 737 from the 60s, and we still cannot build it right. Must have spent a bundle to even get it to be called a derivative; only the landing gear was unchanged which actually resulted in the worst AP disaster 2x with the infamous MCAS (Mother of Catastrophic Asinine System)
As for the 777x whale, when is it going to be done? Started in 2014, going, going.....what a joke

Just wait until the Global South starts buying Comac's planes instead.
