Did I read in another comment that CPO JL is about to leave?
Can't be soon enough. What she and her bestie from Canada (or is it Australia?) has done is disgusting. Working in HR is not the same anymore and it's sad. Just hoping I can wait it out until those two leave.

I didn't say she was quitting, but she will be gone soon enough. There's a financial hit the company has to take on by dumling executives and they have to balance out which fiscal years those impacts hit. Most likely she will survive the FY and you'll see an annoucement that her last day will be June 30 and her financial hit will go against FY25.
RG, KB and JL were all brought in to push GEB. Some people might think this is a new venture for GE, but it's not. For those of you that have been around long enough, you remember GE in Mexico City, GE and TATA and now GE with GEB. It's a shot to see if they can ger cheap labor to produce, while also getting expensive labor to leave. It never works because so much of what GE is built off of is the people who devote their lives to GE and you won't get that from Mexico or India....so eventually the work is brought back.
BA and JW are not stupid. They see the failure in GE and have admitted to bringing the jobs back in behind closed door meetings. It's just going to take a few years, as I believe they signed a 5 year with GEB.
Only question now is, will the company still be around for that to end? Good luck to those of you still on the ship. I don't mind answering questions with what knowledge I have learned from those in the know while I was there.
Makes a lot of sense. Don't forget KB. That dude was responsible for lots and lots of local job losses...I know he's the reason I quit.
Those two are the reason so many people left, but you have to realize - that's what they were hired for.
LK and RG brought in JL and CH to help build up the Bangalore office and cut jobs in the US to save money. That was the point. And it's cheaper for team members to quit than to lay them off (no severance package, etc.)
So...build a Bangalore office > turn up the heat > do a layoff > turn up the heat more > offer buyouts > turn up the heat more > good talent begins an exodus > require in-office work > more good talent leaves...that was always the plan from the beginning, to reduce costs on human capital.
Any employee that is still left there is supporting their strategy. If you disagree with what GE is doing to it's people......leave. There is life after GE. And companies that more align with your own personal values.
A bunch of evil cya next Tuesdays.
Giant Eagle is pure trash
Seeing lots of position changes and promotion announcements on LinkedIn. Something is going on
It’s not just the HR department. It is the entire company. Just look at staffing levels in the stores. No one wants to work for this joke of a company.
