Each year the number attending gets smaller and smaller as the employee base gets rif'd in the months prior. The same old faces will get up on stage and preach about DEI, how they adopted a gender neutral baby from China and may even try to link rhianna to analytics whilst doing so in a very badly fitting outfit. I for one cannot wait to read the commentary here in 2024 about the event

SM has bigger problems. How to face the quarterly music with smoke and mirrors to keep the looting going another quarter.
DS is as slimy and devious as they come. Do not fall for any of the doublespeak. Just ask around with people who actually do the work. Run run run.
A lot smaller numbers at SKO this year. There used to be good conversations here, but now it is all doom and gloom. A few rusted on's re-living the glory days telling stories, but most here are sheep following the others. I heard today SM was asked about those who have been riffed and his response was "I don't care for them anymore. They are not our problem"
DS is the modern day snake oil grifter. DS is SM buddy and got role to prop up HA. DS is a crocodile tear vindictive process evangelist. The id--t was a service foreman and never managed professional software nor deliver a product, let alone a successful one. The mo--n made claims to customers that many engineers have to correct and do damage control. The incompetent is everything (along with HA) that is wrong with engineering and the company unable to deliver a real product. The grifter drove the final nail in the coffin for this place.
Having to sit through DS today wax on was just embarrasing to think they put him in front of customers or prospects. It's probably why we aren't winning any new deals. prospects look at him and run a mile. The guy is a flop.

The fact that they make these poor people go 8am - 10pm everyday.

I would include Possible or I’m-Possible to the list of SKO and Winners Circle.
Winners Circle is a farce as it’s the same people attending every year voted by their buddies. True it should be about numbers but if you manage the largest accounts that you’ve hand picked, you can’t lose. It should be a measure or real growth rather than default.
It’s the same faces year in year out.
These posts are a constant source of amusement and hilarity in an otherwise messed up world.
Highly likely SKO 2024 will be the last in person event. As they reduce the GTM headcount, it wont warrant the investment and anywhere they can save on costs they will to prop up the numbers for that little bit longer.
Perhaps they should skip an irrelevant event and instead save some good people’s jobs?
In defence of Winners Circle - in many cases if you did your number …by gee you earned it. Almost made full target in PS revenue one year …can anyone imagine the stress in so many PS projects on the floor????

Other than an excuse for a boondoggle event, why is the company spending ANY money on a sales kickoff when: 1) the new sales teams have been gutted, 2) there is little to sell, 3) the ELT and sales folks can't really explain Teradata's differentiators and 4) prospects aren't buying ... other than that, seems like a "really swell idea" ;-)
