Look for another career when the market is still hot. Base pay for most companies is much more than Staples. It was Wayne who pushed for the B2bs to make more $$$ and created and got approved the BDM position. Now it's like reverting back to the old B2b days except now "Big Brother" is watching with making calls from our computer. SMH!!!!

But isn’t the company expanding teams in facilities and SalesOps?

They may say the are taking our statements and opinions into consideration in the upcoming roundtable discussions that are going to take place. But they already know what is going to happen. Everyone is considered a B2B in their eyes now. BDMs are not thought of as part of the enterprise business. They don’t care about any of us. They don’t care that the BDM role set people up for failure trying to check the boxes of a B2B and manage complex accounts. They care about making Staples look profitable. Some more massive changes are coming but I believe they want to drag this uncertainty out to see who is mentally tough and who really wants to be here while making just a base salary with little commission moving forward. With a much much larger territories more people will lose their jobs and more people will be demoted or reconfigured into something new. The only thing that is certain is we have no control. If Marty had it his way he would wipe it all out and start with a fresh new clean slate.

Find a new job - enough said. Staples su-ks we all know it. If you have done your time here and hoping for the best - your next job is the drive through at Mcdonalds if you stick around.

When is everyone going to learn. The only ones that matter are Rev man and merchandising. They make the call and no one else matters. Just don't understand why they keep everyone else. They obviously know what is best. They need to wake up...

Only thing I've heard from retail is some shuffling of positions in Supply Chain. No one getting laid off, but a retirement has caused some moves including an elimination of a director.

Curious to know what’s happening with retail tomorrow. I think all B2Bs are worried about their jobs. Top performers are worried about being under a microscope and lesser performers are worried about the metrics and being “not needed”. There’s no “middle class” of the position anymore. Much like America. Everyone is under a value system and only a few will make it. Seems like they want a clean slate.

You will hear a lot out of retail starting tomorrow. Got to save that cash for end of year.
