To all those who got impacted today, I am really sorry for you. It does effect mentally and it’s not 10% of people impacted, it’s 10% of families that got impacted.
Please stay strong, take advantage of any resume building, interviewing or networking support that QCOM offers.
Don’t let this effect you mentally or your family life- that is far more important. There will be light at the end of the tunnel.

How many? Right on time, we all guessed March/April and a few hundred.

I’m not impacted but I felt soooo sad today. Seeing people crying, becoming speechless DOES hurt a lot. Of course we all know it is not the end of the world, but the moment is emotional. We are not robots after all! We all have been pressuring ourselves for 2 months.
I think that percentage you gave above is far more than 10. Even survivors require therapy.
Which teams were impacted?
How many sr. Dir , Vp’s got laid off….do we really need so many?
I lost a lot of friends and colleagues today, some of them for 10+ years, sad sad day.
