HR / support office staff won't be receiving merit increases or bonuses this year. Looks like they're wanting people to leave instead of laying off / severancing people.

So for the person talking about the Compass task that was strictly addressed to Store Managers there was nothing out in that about Store Manager pay that would not be addressed to managers only DMs would get that info since we answer to DMs. All of the people mentioned in that statement was for managers to communicate to all of the people under them. Do I think they would sc--w managers out of pay raises absolutely they would and have in the past. This company is probably about to be sold because it is in such bad shape but who would want to by it at this point.
But they can pay a fired CEO still to consult when she did nothing as results speak for themself, pay an interim CEO alot for what? giving messages and video messages and now a new CEO who they claim will be a savior. They are the worst ever. Way to destroy a quality company and insult a workforce that has no more desire other than some to make a paycheck. Have you noe shame, ahhh no you don't. And for the ones that will still back these overpaid do nothings, how sad are you.
There will be no bonus other than the 25% if your evaluation was good or not other than that will be no bonuses the simple fact is this company missed forecasts to badly and unless they fix something soon will continue to miss forecasts. This company is bleeding money they are in deep sh-t and all because of the direction of one person Stefano Pessina. They don’t know if they can keep going in the direction of MFC but they put all their eggs in that basket and now they don’t even know if that is going to be pushed forward any longer
Walgreens dropped a Compass message on the MGRs today, basically spitting in the face of every Store Manager and front-end team member. So get this: Store Managers? Zero raise. Nada. And as for front-end team members, doesn't matter if you're a rockstar or not—you're getting a measly 1% raise.
You just lost a great worker in me after seven years and many more are about to leave, It's beyond an insult. How do you even look in the mirror you so called powers at be.
Is it official that there are no bonuses this year?
FYI that, similar to Francesco's more limited golden parachute when his resignation was announced and he continued to be compensated for "consulting services", you can bet that Roz also had a similar 3-year employment contract that is common for C-level resources. If you look at her start date and to the end of her "consulting" term, it will be three years.
With the bad press they have already had this week will they risk putting the no bonuses message out this week? There has been ZERO transparency ever since Pessina came on board that is not going to change as long as he is making decisions. Roz essentially got paid off to keep his secret that he has been making decisions all along.
Ever since Stefano came on board he has screwed employees over bonuses. Back in 2018 no bonuses for Walgreens people but WBA people got bonuses. Then year after got 50% of bonus. Again people at WBA (most C suite executives) got bonuses. Walgreens was making the $$ for the company but again they Screwed employees. Dirty little secrets that this company has - shameful. Ask if VPs and above are getting more stock grants instead of bonuses. Transparency is needed. HR talks a good game about transparency but they lie.
All this while many of our pharmacies and stores are in utter chaos. The tone deafness of corporate has no limits.
I'd also like to know why they're canceling merits/bonus but still going to be paying 1.6 billion dollars in dividends...
I would like corporate to explain if the company is in such dire straights that they can’t pay merit to cover inflation or pay bonus - HOW is there $6 million for Ginger plus $825k salary per month? How was there $9 million plus $375k per month thru march 2024 to cover RoZ? Completely insulting! You continue to preach culture, work life balance this doesn’t pass the sniff test by a long shot!
Is no bonus official for Support staff?
HR just exists to do corporate's bidding. They'll probably stick around without a bonus or merit increase. For employees that don't quit, we'll see if everyone is engaged or drinking the Kool-aid enough to move the needle under our new CEO.
