Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

I'm having trouble sleeping

I wish this was all done so we can move on. I hate being stuck in limbo.

Hopefully you'll be able to catch up on some sleep during the virtual conference calls where everyone has their cameras off.

Keep worrying and lose your sleep. Try that 5 days in a roll. Hope it helps.

Being so anxious won’t help. Think this is time you can strike work life balance tilted to life, prepare for next step if you fear to be impacted. Else enjoy slow time as it may get hectic after the storm.

It's easy for people who live comfortably to tell others to just relax when to comes to being laid off. Not everyone has that luxury. Being laid off is stressful for many reasons so let people express themselves as needed.

@lqo+1p1fnB77,

Stop lecturing. OP is sharing how it's affecting him/her and the implications.
Your compassion is like 🍎🍊
Last time, I checked none of those illegal swimmers had a masters degree in EE.

While I appreciate all the comments here to relax and suggestions to take it easy, for some of us immigrants, the implications are far reaching beyond having a job. It may mean uprooting life in some cases. Would just like to know.

I know like in suspense movies eagerly waiting for the plot end. But take a chill pill. This is different.

Worst part is being in limbo & being overworked at the same time.

Waiting is not the worst part, at least there is still a chance that it will not happen to you. Getting the notification is worse.

Why so much impatience?

I agree, the waiting is the worst part at this point. Many of us just want to know and move on.

Very little is getting done. It’s eerily quiet in the buildings. This is just going to su-k.

Jogging for 40 minutes. You will feel better and ready to sleep. Overly stressed will not do you any good.

If you are in SD, go to the beach and try meditating.
