How will impacted people be informed

Will it be email? Will it be an Outlook invite for a meeting? Will it be via some HR portal? Any idea?

Everyone will be summoned to their respective auditorium. Then names will start being announced and ask to step in front of the stage. They will say why you were selected and then say you will be eliminated. But there is a chance to save your self if you can complete the challenge. Usually some sort of suffle or macaron challenge in 30 minutes. The best dish wins and gets saved until the next round. The rest return their apron and will never cook again.

You will be pinged by your VP/SVP via Teams saying they need to talk to you. Then they will talk to you in person or Teams if you are not in the office.

Directors and above will hide behind a screen and lay off people over email and if you are senior enough, you may get a Teams meeting link. Only principals and above will have face to face.
