Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

My Lincoln “Experience”

  1. Free airfare
  2. 2 to 3 days off from work
  3. College town

Any one with one brain cell left will decline. I can’t see any life in Lincoln after Fiserv, I will not be stuck with a new house at the top of the market and an 8% mortgage rate, when Fiserv closes this office or lay me off. Can’t do this to my family.

I send an emailing to my boss right from the airport. No, but no thank you! It is a very dangerous proposition if you accept as you will be moving again. I feel so happy with my decision.

Never move for a job unless it's to a location that you have always wanted to live...

I'm with you it's not worth it at all. There is nothing there, and not a place I would even consider living.

Good move. I moved for a company once and while it was mostly a good experience I learned soon enough that I’d never be considered a local. I was always the guy from somewhere else. Everyone will deny it but those things work against you when you’re trying to move up. You’ll watch unqualified people who were in the same sorority or fraternity as the hiring manager move up while you clean up their mess.
