Do you think Oct 30 will be processed through VMW payroll or will Oct 15 be the final pay from VMW payroll? I am thinking payroll transition will take place earlier and BC may actually issue that check. Or perhaps they will run both payrolls in parallel for a while?

terminations/layoffs will be effective Oct 30 so I assume that would be final VMware payroll.
Until the day the deal closes, our relationship is with VMware, not Broadcom. That will only change after the deal done.
Why would it matter who signs the check? Am I missing something?
Maybe OP was concerned about delays in payroll for that date due to the merger? I don't know just trying to speculate what the OPs concerns are.
I'm trying to figure out why I would possibly care who the payroll comes from on October 30th. You either have a job or you don't. Why would it matter who signs the check? Am I missing something?
You're being paid on 30 Oct for the work you did in Oct. Considering we are all VMW >employees on 30 Oct, it will be VMW payroll.
For regular pay I think this will be it but for any severance that has to come from BC.
