This chaos, deterioration and heavy-handed decision making is revealing just the lengths selfish and incompetent leaders will go when they internalize and personalize their positions to vindicate their past. Karen has been very vocal on her issues with men and has been out to prove a point ever since. Funny thing is, it is the majority male finance team that she begs for talking points before investor meetings along with the men that she cozied up to in past roles that cover her and granted her opportunities from the beginning. She has packed her in-bred court with white women from New England, many of whom look like her, while preaching jargon about the unfair "boys club"--protecting and guiding them through the jungle with her at the cost of top talent. Karen, it's no longer 1981, look around! One tactic her inner sanctum uses is to exploit their personal health stories and replay them over and over again like politicians to garner sympathy with the masses and favor with decision makers (Karen). The CMO has mental health struggles and sui-idal family members, HR lady survived cancer (but at least she's rich), CCO had a brother that died of cancer, Karen's father was absent and her mother committed su----e, etc. As if these struggles are only things they dealt with and somehow justify their selfish, indulgent greed. Meanwhile, they sat on purchasing Signify Health for MONTHS until the rumors leaked and in a frenzy, grossly overpaid for it along with Oak Street--two nearly bankrupt provider systems. News flash: United Health has been quietly buying that market share for years--you won't catch up. Mark Bertolini was asleep at the wheel drunk on his millions and 26 homes, and now the peach of his eye Karen is making hers.

To point out her hypocrisy, how many cancer survivors did she lay off? I know of at least half a dozen. Time to get out of here.
Well said! The one thing I want to touch on is the personal struggle BS that the ELT love to share. Not for anything but I just don’t care about Karen’s mother’s method of death or someone surviving cancer or any of the other myriad of issues they utilize to try and humanize themselves. As if the rest of us don’t also have these stories and struggles. Run the damn company with competence and compassion and a successful strategy. You can BE compassionate in your actions versus trying to sell us on your compassion with these s-b stories as you plot to trim thousands of people who can’t afford to lose their jobs as the ELT could.
