Walmart Transfer Request Question

I am seeking information regarding my recent transfer request. I have requested a transfer in order to step down and return to my original store. I no longer wish to hold the positions of coach or team lead. Now, Market has informed me that my request for a transfer with a demotion has been approved at the regional level.

Anyhow, they are indicating that I can only step down to the role of a team lead. I have not received any formal documentation regarding this matter; I only received a phone call. How can I access the formal information, and is it accurate that they can prevent me from becoming an associate?

It’s a 10% decrease to step down to TL. For associate it’s 10% OR max rate. I stepped down from Coach to Digital associate and was capped at $21 because that was the max hourly rate. They’re not going to pay you “coach level” wages but you’ll make a solid wage. It’s in the policies on the wire.

A store manager ownes you. If the HR looks the other way good luck. For a joke before you go contact ethics.

I stepped down from a Coach position to an hourly position (non Team Lead). I believe they're misleading you.

I was a team lead and stepped down to a stocker. I lost 10% of my pay. Best thing I ever did. No more stress. I do my job well and go home.

Why step down when you can get promoted--to customer!

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but they can only deduct 10% of your pay unless you negotiate. They probably don't want to pay associate coaches' wages. There's a team lead in my store making coach-level money because they allowed her to step down. Make sure you let them know you're willing to negotiate.
