Now that ,as expected, Ops is getting culled. What's the process for the Retention RSUs that Ops teams got . I know they'll vest for us on exit but can we go over the voting rights (won't it be closed?) or do we get cash - and if so is that the $140 or the cash equivalent of 1/2 Cash 1/2 BC stock?

My interpretation is that anything less than a permanent offer is in effect a layoff. A transitional contract is a delayed layoff. My take is that they will follow standard layoff policy if you refuse the temp role.
If you refuse a perm offer it would be the same as quitting so you get nothing.
There is another one, you F yourself too.
"Betsy lovers"
Also known as people who don't let some random executive live rent free in their head. Her work has no impact on me, so live and let live.
This is hardly surprising, Betsy is clueless. BC have said that severance applies if you reject a transition contract
Not sure why the Betsy hate, but this has been widely communicated already. BC is acquiring VMW. BC is running the deal. They are making the decisions. They will let VMW leadership know when they want them to know. They've also communicated that every M&A is different and that some major decisions like this are still under consideration, especially as the bean counters are deciding which policies take place Day 1 vs which fall under the pre-announced 12-month VMW "business as usual".
"Betsy said she doesn’t know the answer yet"
She is too busy buying a private airplane and fourth home in Aspen to be bothered with these things called “employees”

“You say no to transition you still get severance and rsus”
Betsy said she doesn’t know the answer yet
"You say no, and your ops RSUs and severance goes out the window."
Stop posting lies, this is 1000% incorrect.
You say no to transition you still get severance and rsus
This is how it will play out - they offer you a very different role or transitional contract and you say no (let’s say it has a base comp cut or not something you were hired to perform at VMware). You say no, and your ops RSUs and severance goes out the window.
RSUs are auto converted to BC shares. They will give you a cash payout equivalent to how many BC shares you own after conversion at the market rate.
