Creative age discrimination...Wallstreet loves labor reductions...Boeing executives love bonuses and severance packages based on stock price.

California is a union state like Washington. So obviously the executive some want to move the work to a nonunion state like South Carolina or Missouri. Or you have to pay more for your benefits, which are less and where you have no rights concerning layoffs or recall.

They have a ton of empty buildings in St. Louis. Like others have said Boeing always want to lay off their oldest workers who are paid the most.

They have a serious issue with lack of experienced people due to all the layoffs and retirements in the past.

And even the young people they hire are not really committed to a career in aviation they just want enough experience to move on to something better at a more stable company.

Aviation is a Dead end career and they just want to use it as a steppingstone to better position somewhere else.

You can’t constantly be laying off your workforce and expect to attract a lot of quality people. Nobody wants to work for companies that do that.

Working for Boeing is not a good career path anymore. The pay is not there. The benefits are not there and neither is the job stability.

I know very few employees, other than managers, whose children pursue a career at Boeing or in aviation. Most people do not recommend Boeing or aviation to their kids or relatives.

This is another backhanded way for Boeing to lay off without paying severance.

First the make you come back to the office and people quit.

Now they "move" your job somewhere else and people quit because they don't want to go.

But the people quitting are the experienced people, the ones with families they don't want to move. We have very few experienced people as it is and they are more than happy to replace them with younger and cheaper people that don't know jack.

Why would a DEI based company leave such a flourishing woke state?
California is the perfect match for Boeing!!!

It is always sad to see these work movements .

I wonder if relocation benefits are being offered?

Hopefully, the team members that are willing to move do not have to reinterview for the jobs and do not have to take a pay cut.
