Thread regarding Dish Network layoffs

Underhanded Dish Business Practices

Everything Dish does in business is underhanded.

No matter what the scenario (i.e., Boost Mobile layoffs, Wireless Spectrum Acquisition from T-Mobile, Negotiations with TV content providers, FCC 5g deadlines, etc.), Dish's conduct without fail demonstrates a lack of business ethics, integrity, and forthrightness. Every single situation involving Dish turns into a nasty situation.

It all comes down to one man of course who is in the middle of all of these business negotiations. He's become a Billionaire but at what cost to himself and everyone around him?

I absolutely detested working for Dish and am so glad to be free of this absolutely toxic company environment.

Here's the latest point of contention for Dish with (fill in the blank)!

Dish Expands 5G, But There's a Catch

The FCC had a stipulation. To ensure competition, the regulatory agency required Dish to make sure 20% of Americans would be covered by its 5G network by June 14. The company said in a Wednesday release that the expansion exceeds that threshold. The "beta list" for the service is only available on an invite-basis only, and the company has been tightlipped about how many people will actually be able to access it.

Here's what Dish is doing to Boost Mobile employees right now.

Employees said they were given 60 days to move or be out of a job.

“If they’re telling everybody to relocate to Denver, that’s a pretty uncomfortable process on multiple levels,” For one, it’s just plain hard to move, especially in this economy. “People have families and relationships." On another level, “what exactly is Dish doing with its future?”

Another current example of Dish's practices:

Dish hits back at T-Mobile over 800MHz spectrum extension request.

The spat continues.

"T-Mobile’s cavalier attitude toward unprecedented interest rate hikes notwithstanding, the global financial turbulence resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and a war in Europe was certainly not foreseeable by Dish when the Division commenced this action in mid-2019," Dish said. "But those events have seriously impaired Dish's ability to close the purchase of the 800MHz spectrum licenses in the near term"
