Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Job placement vendor

This vendor CVS hired for us is a joke and they are doing barter business. They don't respond to emails, calls .... Anything. Another stab in the back from CVS

How would they know you got a job while getting severance ? Is anyone really going to call HR who you can't reach and tell them! How can they stop you from getting a 2nd job? Many people have 2 jobs at this company. So if you get a job making $15 an hour they stop your severance? Does anyone really know without getting a lawyer to review for Peanuts.

And in that link below - it’s defines what “Employer” means. 1.5.“Employer” shall mean CVS Pharmacy, Inc., Caremark Rx, L.L.C. and Aetna Inc. and any current or future Affiliate thereof that does not maintain its own severance plan for employees of that Affiliate.

If you get employment back with CVS Health ONLY, you lose any remaining severance.

That is why they will not do a lump sum severance.

If you get a job it does not mean you lose your severance. Stop with the lies.

If you find a job with them or anyone you voluntarily are leaving your job/resigning/quitting, etc .. and you do not receive your severance. Legally you cannot "double dip".

So if you find a position via their placement firm before your severance runs out, you have to forfeit the remainder of your severance? If so, they are treating it like state unemployment which sounds a bit shady.

Their main function may be reporting back to CVS for possible reasons to discontinue severance. I’ll update my own resume, thank you very much….
