Nobody is buying TanZoo. There are more customers with TKGI (PKS) than regular TKGm or TKGs, think about that. Who in their right mind would convert over to running K8s on vSphere? TAP is garbage, ask them how many customers have deployed it... NONE. This is a failing BU and will be sold off to the lowest bidder.

Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again !
Best of luck for the impending acquisition.
Nice fake complement.
Whoever defends criticism of Magoo needs to take a long look in the mirror and ponder the depths of their stupidity.
“Me look pretty one day” - A new book by Magoo Sedaris.
I agree, he should be better prepared for a Bloomberg interview. This is not the image of a successful Silicon Valley CEO. He has poor posture sitting in the chair and just looks like he doesn't want to be there, or answer these questions.
Sometimes it's better to just say no, when given the opportunity to be interviewed by the media. He comes across as someone who talks about VMW because it's required. No passion, no enthusiasm. So, why bother?
I had high hopes with Pat left and the newly named "Magoo" took over. The reason being that Raghu had a strong technical background (Pat gave up his years ago) and I had hope we'd get back to basics, strengthen core products, streamline integrations and provide a compelling reason to love VMware again. I was wrong in my assessment.
Fact is, most of the people on this board could have done a better job. Raghu is just a rubber stamp. Zero innovation (virtually everything good was acquired in the last 5-6 years under the Pat / Eschenbach era), zero accountability (the number of middle managers across all BUs is frightening), antagonistic collaboration among Product BUs, PSO, CxS and support teams as well as zero customer enthusiasm for our stack.
As for the Tanzu townhall, I guess I wasn't invited - we're just not serious about our cross-platform value proposition it appears.
"As a previous poster said, the personal comments say more about the poster than anything else."
It's true, Raghu doesn't care about his appearance, or the way he represents VMW.
His lack of caring says more about his time as our CEO. He will not me missed.
@1mkp+1otfywN0 - someone touch a nerve did they?!
As a previous poster said, the personal comments say more about the poster than anything else.
What do you think calling someone a bumbling fool or ‘Magoo’ just because you don’t like them (while bumbling yourself) or calling others an ‘embarrassment’ because they point that out says about you?
Best of luck for the impending acquisition.
There’s an irony calling someone a bumbling fool when you can’t get your own grammar and spelling correct, it’s wander not wonder………
Writing a quick comment on an anonymous board while in line at the bank verses going on TV as a CEO is not even close to being the same thing.
Face it, Magoo is Magoo, a total embarrassment. And so are you Mr. English.
I am embarrassed to call him my CEO
Think the personal comments being made here say more about the posters concerned than anything else.
There’s an irony calling someone a bumbling fool when you can’t get your own grammar and spelling correct, it’s wander not wonder………
I wonder whether someday someone will make a cartoon of you?
For $50 million in CIC comp, he could at least show us some belly button lint!
I guess that’s been the main thing all along…
Let Magoo wonder the earth in the time he has remaining as a rich bumbling fool. Maybe someday they will make a cartoon out of him.
Wow, that's a PR team fail. Normally, someone would have said something to him before he went on camera. Either sit up straight, close his jacket, do something to hide it.
Just more evidence that VMW marketing employees just don't care anymore about putting on a professional front for the media. Who can blame them. Raghu walks away with $50MM+ and can afford a personal trainer to help him shed those extra pounds.
The rest of of us get what's coming...
Raghu introduces his 'Tanzu-belly' bloat in this Bloomberg video interview.
https://news.vmware.com/releases/vmware-explore-2023-private-ai-foundation
With all his $Ms he couldn't choose a shirt that fit, to contain his belly? Seriously...
'VMware bloat' were typically organization related. Not a Morbidly Obese CEO.
Tanzu su-ks is all that comes to mind
Pivotal, whoops, I mean Tanzu is going to keep all the mediocre people who came from the Pivotal Good Ole Boys Club. The non-Pivotal highly skilled people will be kicked to the curb.
Didn’t know there was one. Not in Tanzu
