Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

Layoffs GV

Anybody know the reason why they laid off 56 people a couple of weeks ago. Is it because they need the money to pay out management bonus

Like @3hib+1otKglVF says the layoff were much higher around 3478 people let go. As for leaving? Why? Sure it’s crazy political but money is good and One doesn’t need to do much real work IF one keeps the critical emails well archived to show the problem was somewhere else!

The layoff count is much higher wordwide than the numbers being stated here.

I started with Honeywell... the decline is remarkable.

I admit I've become comfortable in the job, but the changes I've seen and whats to come are motivating me to move Theres nothing here any more.

@2led+1otKglVF,
this is a very good point, and the real issue is that there is no location that can get anything done in Resideo. At least GV and Melville did something in the past that is paying Resideo employees salary !!

Get rid of the old cr-p in melville and GV… they can’t fight, can’t do anything but bi--h about something they may have done 20 years ago…

The fact that you know the headcount actually laid off, not announce and highly protected by executives, indicates you are one of them and the problem.

It’s more a move directed to Wall Street by announcing cuts in costs. It’s a joke because bonuses went up eating up any savings …. But then that wasn’t the goal isn’t it?

Hard decisions would have been to terminate underperforming middle management and ditch the failing strategies. Very easy to cut low hanging fruit

They needed a reason to make the balance sheet look better. That's essentially what they told us. "Hard economic times means we have to make some hard decisions, and unfortunately your position has been eliminated as part of a restructure to align the future business".

Do they need the space. Maybe they sold off or rented part of gv

It's weird to layoff all those people and then force everyone to return to office with standard hours right after. If they were trying to make people hate working here they are doing a great job. Morale has never been lower in the 7 years I've been here. Team of teams!
