What happens to vacation days when we get acquired or if you are laid off?

In the US, we don't have accrued vacation. It is unlimited PTO.

Take as much PTO as you like as long as you come into office 6 days a week. Go ask broadcom employee

Depends on your local labor laws, in some countries even if you are being retained the purchasing company can either pay out your days and start the leave counter from zero after payment or honor whats there and continue ti accrue.

If being made redundant then same in some countries they are just paid out with your severance. You need to check the laws based on your location

I hope your manager is approachable & knowledgeable in these matters?

I would expect by law that your accrued time (excluding any untaking "epic days" etc & any forward thinking epic days) you might want to take in leui now.

Your manager should try to seek those answers for you🫰

In EMEA, they are paying vacation days according to the local labor law up to maximum of 82 days.
