VR was huge on streaming platforms like twitch a year or so back, with top content creators spending time in games like VR chat. However, as time has gone on, the VR chat streamers have begun streaming without the goggles. The draw to these games seems to be more about the social interaction -- not the VR headset.
"It's hard to know when everyone is going to be using 5G-powered-AI toilet paper, but we know people have to sh!t sometime". You're full of it.

3-D technology was available on TV's and movie theaters 40 years ago. I remember writing a fortran program to simulate 3D by isolating different wavelengths and delaying them by a few hundred nanoseconds with reference to each other. 3D never caught on. Recently, I watched Maverick in the extended screen format and Mission Impossible in 4D - not worth the $40 ticket price. My wife and I swore we would only watch IMAX if available or just plain vanilla 2D movies.
VR is an oversold boondoggle. Very few people care. 5G is worse.
