Thread regarding CVS layoffs

are people going to be terminated if they do not RTO 3 days a week?

Our department was told we are exempt from going to office. I know for me closest office is about 82 miles. And none of my team is in that office nor any of the customers I support so I would still be using teams if I went to that office to talk to my workers and my team so doesn’t make much sense

Lol this is CVS you know how it works- theres no rule no laws process changes every 2 months noone know how its being run. nothing happens for any reason at all so no - that would not be the reason they would lay off - they’d probably do it regardless

Did it ever occur to someone like yourself that if nobody came in it would not even “be a thing” regardless of manager? Yes, they can layoff 5,000 of you but they would anyway regardless of work from home or not. So stop the mental gymnastics about always trying to look good for a boss, and take control yourselves.

I had a friend in real estate and he said VP's are getting monthly reports starting early Oct. of badge swipes. In & Out. HR will provide but they are recording and reporting badge swipes for all locations & employees not coded to WAH. My VP got a list of folks on her team early July from HR that was required to be in office and she notified everyone. Not sure consequence's for not returning, was laid off before the requirement.

Very few people in Hartford today. It's like BCI training, we are eroding employee confidence in sr mgmt solving another problem that doesn't exist. We seem to be focused on a lot of the wrong things.

agreed with the post below. I know a lot of teams that have been told they do not have to come in three days as of right now. if they are going to expand the RTO, everyone should be held to that standard.

Frankly, I think they should be tracking and holding people accountable for as long as it is a requirement for all of us not coded work from home to come in 3 days a week. When they first announced RTO 2x a week it was never really enforced and we had whole teams who decided to abide by it and others that says “meh” and I have peers on other teams that live 20 minutes from the office but I haven’t seen in person since before the pandemic started.

Hr and senior leaders will be tracking and reporting out to apply pressure at least to start. It’s likely to be ratcheted up fro there.
