Broadcoms fiscal year ends October 29th and all along they said it would close in their 2023 fiscal year (BC / VMware website still states this). However recent articles have said 10/30 and 10/31. Do we know what the actual date will be and will pushing it into their 2024 fiscal year make any difference?

This makes no difference. I would expect VMW and BC to need a week or so to close out all the end of Q books from the 27th before being able to bring in a fresh slate of bookings / revenue under BC. This happened already with Dell when they put new orders on hold if I recall in order to sweep the books. Basically, VM will stop taking orders from the 28th until the merge is done a few days later and then will resume under BC ownership and accounting rules.

Meaning they will fail to close the deal in Broadcoms 2023 Fiscal year like they have been saying for the past 18 months. Unless they change their fiscal year dates so Hock Tan can save face lol

They just moved our Qend to October 27th so the 30th or 31st.
