Thread regarding VMware layoffs

H1 Bonus

Letter says 120%.
Decent enough. Stash the cash.

Except that there won’t be any bonus for H2 (refer to the FAQ) although we will still be VMW in Q3. :-(

After 37 to 40 percent tax, we are not left with much :-(

It's taxed as regular income, what the Hock are you talking about?

VMW employee greed is good for the economy. Go on, take the money and run...

Spend the money on whatever makes you happy. Life is short (pending climate change)

This marks the second time when my bonus is at 120%. Usually, it’s only at 100% or slightly higher. I hope it can consistently remain this way without the manager’s involvement.

There's airing dirty laundry, and there's airing VMware Confidential financial information before it's made public.

While this is great news, many on this site do not work for VMW. Some are just here to make stock trades based on things they read.

Juvenile behaviour here. The point of this site is to be able to share anonymously what we are going g through as a result of the acquisition by BC and validate some of what we are hearing internally about what will happen to each and every one of us. It is supposed to help us.

Since when are we concerned about what information people outside of the company see here?? We have been airing our dirty laundry here for months and now we care?

“Just tell everyone your salary Why don’t you” Yes. Why don’t you share salary data? Are you one of those dinosaurs who hides your salary data?

If everybody got the letter, why are we discussing it here? People outside the company don't need this information, why not tell everyone your salary while you're at it?

This thread shows the stupidity of this site and some people.

Those eligible to receive all got notification via email that their letter is available on work day.

Pay out funded at 120% of your target.

Its not difficult to grasp.

Why do you troll people? It was 100% for everyone, anything more is mathematically impossible.

The whole world needed to know this did they? Anyone who needs to know got the letter, don't be publicizing stuff like this.

What do you mean what do I mean?

HR letter says 120% half ie H1 bonus is to be paid in September. And I'm going to save it (rather than going out and buying a Rolex).

By decent, I also meant that the amount was more than I had expected.
