I guessed it happened that way. Genuinely real managers can’t always be a yes man to Jim.
Clark disagreed with Vena in a senior meeting about all of the cuts that he was wanting to make and he was forced to retire the next day
I don't think the stock price will get anywhere near $300. The UP did all of the massive cuts the first time, the stock price went to around $280, and then started falling. Then the service issues started, and hearings followed shortly afterwards. The UP is a hot mess already, covid is making a comeback, and some of the employees aren't sticking around this time. When the UP gets dinged for lack of staffing and poor service again, it'll be Vena that has to answer for it. He won't be able to run away like he did the first time to avoid the questioning.
He doesn’t like AVP or SVP titles, too many layers of management. He is now bringing in the CSX guys , there is also a lot of folks going to CPKC(mostly managers) I have seniority myself . When he lays off everyone and sells the properties and the stock gets to 300.00 as has been touted… I am out… thanks Jimbo!!!
What about that EVP of Marketing & Sales, KR. He should be the 1st to go!
He needs to get rid of the EMS idi@ts up in the glass tower. They know who they are.
I would retire to if I had the time. I wouldn’t care how much they try to pay me to stay.
Another SVP gone since Jim moved in.
Now Scott M. Is retiring all of a sudden.
@1vh
If 75% were cut none of your tech would work. Cutting here isn’t necessarily bad, but get a clue. Technology is so bad already because all the cuts in the tech department. There are also many others here that without their coordination, crews would sit on idle trains over half the time…. Especially with tiny at the helm
You could cut 75% of people in Omaha.. And still have too many
I'm sure EVERY executive will land on thier feet.
Looks like he was the SVP over Supply Chain. That would explain the notification of the move of Supply Chain to Finance.
Was this person over Supply Chain?
Yeah I saw that one coming. Vena is following the exact same path that he went down during his last visit. This just proves that not one single job is safe. So for anyone that touted his return and told themselves that it would be different this time around, ENJOY!
Good, continue purging the executives
