What are the implications of signing severance agreement when it comes to rehire. My understanding is one could re-apply/interview/return to the same role/level within 1year of leaving the company. Does anyone know if LR'd employee from AWS (not due to performance, was part of the layoff this year) is eligible for rehire if the severance agreement was signed or is the candidate permanently barred from rehire.

In Madrid (Spain) I have an example of someone being layed off, while applying for another job in another department and starting again soon. She finished her « guaranteed salary » period about 1 month before REstart date. In EMEA, it’s possible!
