And some of y’all need a lesson in it. How the he-l are you going to layoff 60% of your wireless marketing team and then still ask them to finish projects and contribute to new ones. What he-l are you gonna do when 10/9 comes? Tick tock, I’m talking to you Head Of’s, GM’s, VP’s and especially the CMO, you need to pull your head out of your a-s and get to work. Your kitchen is a HOT MESS EXPRESS! Show some damn empathy for your team!

What are you talking about? There is no such thing as DNA At Dish!
Only one man set the tones and policies. His name is Charlie Ergen. The rest of executive team are all his cronies who serve his vision. In reality, none of them care about business. They just try to take care of themselves and satisfy their bosses. For those who don't know the cultures and expectations before joining the company were all long gone. Below Charlies, nobody is happy including his handpicked president. Nearly all employees got tired of "Dish Way". They show up and kick around, collecting the paychecks, and pretending they are serious about business. Quoting Charlie own words at one of his ATM,
One trick that they don't teach in Business School, you don't let the employees become comfortable, because if they are, they would never be productive".
All of the toxic environments you see are essentially the result of that philosophy.
To be honest, I have been here about 8 months and I haven’t experienced many people with a “need to achieve.” Most people here are complacent.
You aren't going to find any empathy at Dish. The company prides itself on selecting applicants with a "need to achieve". This is the lock, Thy key is a management strategy driven by constantly depriving those people of any sense of achievement.
Dish is the most toxic working environment I've ever had the misfortune of stumbling into. Briefly took a run through their front line management and got to see a little behind the curtain. They know what they are doing, and they are doing it intentionally. And until the last few years it sorta worked.
The real problem DIsh has is that the company is made up of people who will accept those type of working conditions. They want frightened employees, and they get them. Anyone who isn't will just go find another job. But in times like this, they need brains and initiative. The Dish management ethos made sure those people left long, long ago.
Unfortunately practicing emphathy is not in Dish’s DNA.
The company's culture is very unforgiving as it's every man (woman) for himself in times of trouble (which is the everyday situation @Dish). There's a lot of infighting, politics and backstabbing. Firings are not unusual.
Consequently, there’s not a lot of integrity or empathy extended towards others. Charlie Ergen, of course, sets the tone for the company’s conduct as the chief founder and still in charge majority owner.
Recently two senior and mid level executives in Wireless who directly worked on the new 5G Network launch were unexpectedly and unceremoniously ushered out the door. This was before Boost Mobile layoffs were announced. Both were very capable and committed to their work, but apparently got caught up on the wrong end of Dish political struggles.
